The big question on everyone’s lips at the moment is when does Real Madrid’s luck finally run out. The whites were lucky against Barcelona last Saturday in the clasico and even luckier on Tuesday night against Manchester United in the Champions League after the tide turned from being outplayed by the red devils and a goal down, to Nani’s sending off and winning the tie 1-2.

Victor Valdes hit with 4 match ban after outburst

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has been hit with a four match ban that will keep him out of the league clashes against Deportivo, Rayo Vallecano, Celta Vigo and Mallorca. The ruling which was dished out by the Spanish Federation’s Comité de Competición will be appealed by the Catalan club. The incident happened after Saturday’s clasico when an enraged Valdés confronted referee Pérez Lasa.

Last chance for Alexis Sánchez at Barcelona

It looks like the next few matches will dictate the future of Chilean Alexis Sánchez at FC Barcelona. The player has only scored four goals this season and is a far cry from the 15 he netted last year. He still enjoys the confidence of the Barca boardroom, coaching staff and dressing room, but the fans are getting agitated with his lack of firing power on the pitch.

Barcelona have now lost to Real Madrid twice in four days now. There are lots of questions to ask and Roura’s tactics are most certainly being called into question. Barcelona now need to pull it together before their clash against A.C Milan. Both Jordi Roura and Jose Mourinho look set to make changes in their teams ahead of tomorrow night’s clasico of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. Mourinho looks set to rest at least five of the players that were present on Tuesday night while Roura looks set to start David Villa as Leo Messi has insinuated that Villa would be able to keep the pressure off him and allow him to breathe more easily.
