According to German newspaper Bild, FC Barcelona have renewed their interest in the versatile midfielder, who was once touted to replace Seydou Keita who left the Catalan giants for China last year. According to several sources and most notably Goal.com, Tottenham Hotspur are considering the services of the 22 year old centre back. It appears that new Argentine coach Gerardo Martino has put the breaks on any new signings of a central defender. Martino would like one and still hopes that he gets one, but with the prospect of bringing in a new player that cannot play Barca’s style of football and adapt quickly, Tata prefers to wait for Puyol.
