It wasn’t the best preparation for Barcelona thinking ahead to Tuesday’s crunch game against A.C Milan at the Nou Camp and the Catalans became a bit complacent treating the game as a mere formality and nothing more than a routine training session.

Barca defender Marc Bartra will be out of action for 10 days with a knee sprain according to the Barcelona medical staff. Xavi Hernandez, who was missing for the league match against Real Madrid last Saturday, has trained with the full squad but will not be called into action against Deportivo this weekend. Jordi Roura will rest him so he’s a 100% fit for Tuesday’s clash against A.C Milan.

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has been hit with a four match ban that will keep him out of the league clashes against Deportivo, Rayo Vallecano, Celta Vigo and Mallorca. The ruling which was dished out by the Spanish Federation’s Comité de Competición will be appealed by the Catalan club. The incident happened after Saturday’s clasico when an enraged Valdés confronted referee Pérez Lasa.
