Messi was at his best and scored a double brace of goals in the 5-1 thrashing of Osasuna at the Nou Camp last night. Messi’s first goal was reminiscent of the great Brazilian ‘Pele’ when he dummied and rounded the keeper keeper Andres Fernandez to slot the ball home with ease.

Some great news for Barca fans all over: Xavi Henandez is to sign a new contract extension on Monday. The FC Barcelona midfielder who hails from Terrassa, which is a small town just outside Barcelona, will effectively be at the club until 2016. Xavi will be followed by Messi who will probably pen his new deal sometime next week.
