According to Spanish TV program futboleros, Barca have signed a preliminary agreement with 20 year-old German goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen. Andres Iniesta: Guardiola will impose his style at Bayern Munich

Barca playmaker Andrés Iniesta says that former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola will have no trouble imposing his particular style at Bayern Munich. Iniesta, speaking in an interview with German newspaper Bild said that the two clubs are similar in that they have quality players players and look for ball possession – something that Guardiola loves.

With his magical skills and close ball control which was seen on Sunday morning in the 6-1 thrashing of Getafe, it is evident that that Iniesta has become a complete player in all senses. He is yet to win the coveted Ballon d’Or award but we think one is out there on the horizon with his name on it.

David Villa admitted to hospital for a nephritic colic infection

David Villa was admitted to hospital this afternoon and will undergo kidney stone treatment in the next few hours. Villa scored in yesterday’s 6-1 thrashing of Getafe and is doubtful for the match against Granada on Saturday.

Barca welcome the Chinese New Year by thrashing Getafe

FC Barcelona thrashed Getafe yesterday at midday by an alarming 6 goals to 1 at the Nou Camp. It was a great performance by the Barca team as a whole and Alexis Sánchez managed to get on the scoreboard at last. Other goals came courtesy of Messi, Villa, Tello, Iniesta and Gerard Piqué bringing up the rear. It appears that a Sunday morning game is good for Barca.

Barcelona’s central defender Gerard Piqué is so confident in his team at the moment that he reckons they can win all 3 trophies this year. Piqué thinks that Barca is capable of walking off and closing the season with La Copa del Rey, La Liga and the Champions League. Piqué is in good form at the moment and says that morale is high in the dressing room.

Official: Leo Messi is the most effective striker in Europe

Leo Messi is officially the most effective striker in Europe. The figures do not lie and just the goals he scored in 2012 make him the most prolific front man in Europe. The Argentine needs only 59 minutes to find the back of the net followed by ex Barca star Ibrahimovic, who needs 79 minutes and Athletic Madrid’s Radamel Falcao who needs 80 minutes.

Spain beats Uruguay with 9 Barca players

Last night’s game against Spain and Uruguay ended in a 3-1 win for La Roja and served as a prelude for the upcoming Confederations Cup where both teams will be present. Spain used a total of 9 players from FC Barcelona to do away with a tough tackling Uruguay who left their studs on more than one Spanish player. Goals came from Barca’s Pedro and Cesc Fabregás.
