United preparing mega offer for Fabregas

According to UK newspaper The Daily Express, Manchester United are busy preparing one last mega offer for Cesc Fabregás. The offer is said to be mega and more than the club paid to Tottenham for Dimitar Berbatov back in 2008 which was a club record of 35million euros. Neymar debut in draw against Lechia Gdansk

Brazilian star Neymar made his debut last night in Poland against a very stubborn Lechia Gdansk side. The Barca fans didn’t get to see him team up with Messi as they had hoped for and the Polish side gave him a customary welcome to European football by kicking him and roughing him up in a friendly game that ended up 2 apiece. Ex Barca keeper Antoni Ramallets has died aged 89

One of the best players in the history of FC Barcelona, Antoni Ramallets, died early on Tuesday afternoon aged 89 after a long illness. Ramallets died at the Ricard Fortuny Sociosanitari Centre in the town of Vilafranca del Penedès. He was known as the Maracaná cat after an impressive performance with the Spanish national team at the World Cup in Brazil, 1950. More on Antoni Ramallets

Fabregás silence fuels Manchester United hope

Cesc Fabregás joined the rest of the Barca team yesterday at Barca’s training ground just outside the city after a well deserved holiday. What’s on the fans’ minds though is the fact that the midfielder is keeping quiet over the rumours coming out of the Premier League. until Cesc comes out publicly to say that he’s staying at Barca, united will keep insisting. Barca welcomes Tata Martino with 7 nil win

Barca welcomed their new coach Gerardo Tata Martino with an exhibition style game of football that allowed the team to go home with some good vibes. The young Cameroon player Jean Marie Dongou (pictured left) came on for Messi and moved around the pitch with ease, scoring two goals and becoming the leading scorer in Barca’s pre-season. 93million euros for Gareth Bale

According to UK newspaper The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur has rejected an astronomical bid for their prized asset, Gareth Bale by Real Madrid. The Welshman is understood to be angry as he though he had an understanding with Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy. Bale thought the chairman would agree to a “mind blowing bid”, which appears to have been turned down. More on Gareth Bale

Barcelona FC News Friday Update

it’s been a long week at the Nou Camp and one full of both sad news and expectations. First the sad news of Tito’s departure then the possible candidates for the job. Pep Guardiola came out and said he was very affected by the news then we had the match against Pep’s new team Bayern Munich. Tata was then contracted and will be presented officially today. Martino wants Santiago Vergini to reinforce Barca defense
