Barca overcomes stubborn Sevilla at Nou Camp

It was a great game at the Nou Camp last night with both teams giving their all. The game ended in a 3-2 win in Barca’s favour despite Sevilla having a goal disallowed by referee Muñiz in a controversial decision that left the Andalusian club perplexed.

Barca suffer at La Rosaleda for 1 nil win

Barcelona were made to suffer against Malaga at La Rosaleda last night for a one nil win. Bernd Schuster’s team was full of young players who were disciplined at the back but lacked finesse up front.

Barca to face 5 games and 1 title over 2 weeks

The pre-season is over for the Catalan giants and the real deal begins this weekend. Although it’s a relatively easy game against Levante, Barca cannot afford any slip ups in the start to their new season.

Barca finish season with magical 100 points

FC Barcelona have done it. They have finished the league with a magical 100 points in the bag. It’s been a difficult year for the Catalan team although they practically had the league title sealed up six months ago. Messi doesn’t finish game against Atletico Madrid

Barca beat Atletico Madrid last night without wanting to. After a goal by Radamel Falcao and a late goal by Alexis Sánchez, Atletico’s Gabi put the ball into the back of his own net past a bewildered Courtois to hand victory to Barca. The Catalans ended up with just 10 men as Messi suffered a relapse of his hamstring problem and Vilanova used all 3 subs. Read the rest here

Barca win their 22nd La Liga title

FC Barcelona won the Spanish league last night after Real Madrid failed to beat Espanyol at Cornellà. The cat and mouse game was finally over and Barcelona can now enjoy the moment and celebrate their 22nd La Liga title. Ander Herrera makes Barca wait for title

Athletic Bilbao were up for the challenge and got on the scoreboard before Barcelona on Saturday at the Cathedral in Bilbao. The game ended up in a 2-2 draw which means that Barcelona have to put their La Liga celebrations on ice for another week courtesy of Ander Herrera who scored in the dying seconds of the game. Barca makes sure at Zaragoza with 3-0 win

It was left up to Barca’s youth academy boys to fire the Catalans to a 3 nil win over Zaragoza yesterday. Goals came from Thiago Alcántara and Christian Tello, who snatched a brace with a great performance to match.
