Barcelona to reward Andrés Iniesta

FC Barcelona will offer Barca midfielder Andrés Iniesta an excellent package to keep him at the Catalan club. Iniesta will earn around 12M euros per year plus add-ons that could take him past the 15M or 16M euros wage bracket.

Barca give shirt numbers to Afellay and Cuenca

FC Barcelona have decided to give squad numbers to Ibrahim Afellay and Isaac Cuenca even though they won’t be called on by the coach. The board has decided to give them numbers as they haven’t been able to loan them out, transfer them or let them go on free transfers. Barcelona will keep them looking ahead to the winter transfer market. Both players are still injured which has impaired their pre-season preparations with the rest of the squad. Real Madrid has finally signed Gareth Bale. The Welshman underwent a medical earlier today and was presented to the masses at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

Messi hat-trick makes it three out of three at Mestalla

It was a fantastic game at the Mestalla stadium last night where Barca beat Valencia by 3 goals to 1. It was end to end stuff and provided pure entertainment with Messi getting a hat trick and Valencia’s Postiga netting two.

Positive things can be taken away by both teams but without a doubt we are seeing Messi back to his best.More on the match
