Tottenham’s Gareth Bale has finally been signed and presented in Madrid. The Welsh wizard underwent a medical this morning and was then presented to around 20,000 Real Madrid fans all eager to get a look at their newest signing.
Today is the last day of the summer transfer window and is generally frantic with last minute deals being finalised and bargains being snapped up as if it were the Harrods’ sales.
Gerard Pique believes that Real Madrid has signed a major reinforcement with the incorporation of Gareth Bale. Speaking on the radio program Al primer toque on the radio station Onda Cero, Pique said:”A great team has come along and paid an amount of money to sign a player. We will see if that has been successful or not in the future”.
According to the Barcelona defender, the Welsh player is one of the best in the world. “He has a privileged left foot. He’s going to do well at Real Madrid,” he said. Pique is in no doubt that Bale will succeed in the Spanish League, “he has really grown, progressed and gained much experience in recent years.”
For many Barca fans, the big test to see whether Bale cuts it will be at the next Clasico game. Barca has their own dynamic duo in Messi and Neymar and we’ve had a taste of what they can do together. Now it’s the turn of Bale and Ronaldo. Does Bale have what it takes to play in La Liga?
Personally I do not like at all Gerard Pique. He should really focus on becoming a good central defender again instead of talk in the media.
I am convinced that Real makes a big mistake selling Ozil and buy Bale.
But we need not be sad over …….
