Barcelona winger Jordi Alba has said that the Catalan giants will not stop until they are champions. Alba, speaking after the match at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes in Granada said that he was pleased with the result on a “very difficult ground”. He also said that teammate Leo Messi’s new record of 301 goals in a Barca shirt was both good for him and the club.
It had to be Leo Messi who came to the rescue in the 73rd minute to make it 1-2 to Barcelona against Granada last night. Messi broke the spell of the Granada team who scored first and then bewitched Barcelona, with a rebound goal that Toño couldn’t control from Cesc and then a beautiful free-kick from outside the area which flew past the keeper to his right.
Messi is an unstoppable goal scoring machine and his hat trick against Granada at the Nou Camp last night made history. Messi beat César’s 60 year record and also set a Spanish record of 54 goals in all competitions in a single season with more than two months of the campaign remaining.
