Barca continues to find net against Granada

Alexis Sanchez

Alexis is still on fire

Alexis Sánchez took just forty seconds to shoot first at Roberto’s goal. The shot was driven without much power and didn’t present too many problems for the Granada goalkeeper, but it was only the beginning of what was about to take place at the Camp Nou.

In a time where there are many doubts about Gerardo Martino’s style of play, Barca brought to the field the magical football that the fans have grown accustomed to seeing. The defense pushed right up to pile the pressure on Granada with Cesc and Iniesta adding speed to the game while Neymar, Pedro and Alexis took turns in attacking the wings.

Barca became unpredictable for the visitors and cut out any ball that even hinted of bothering José Manuel Pinto in the Catalan goal.It wasn’t easy to take the place of the Barca regular number one, but Pinto kept his end of the bargain and maintained a clean sheet.

First on the score sheet was Iniesta after Fabregas was brought down in the 20th minute.Just before the half time whistle, Cesc made it 2 nil after another penalty was awarded.

With a clear disadvantage, Granada found some pride and tried to get near Pinto’s goal. Barcelona came out victorious and controlled the game to sentence the match with two more goals.Alexis in the 72nd minute and pedro, bringing up the rear in the 89th minute.

The Catalans played very well and didn’t leave the Andalusian side without much option but to give in to their particular style of football.Pinto was great in goal and the rest of the team without Messi showed what this team is all about.

Real Madrid also won their game against Almería by a 5 goal whitewash and over in the EPL, Pellegrini’s Manchester City spanked Tottenham by an amazing six goals to nil with Navas, Agüero and Negredo helping their side to win 3 points. Tottenham’s Roberto Soldado had very little chance to unsettle the City keeper and get on the scoreboard.
