Despite Barca’s best efforts to hang on to their keeper, Víctor Valdés is adamant about a leave in June. The keeper’s contract still has a year to go but wants away this summer. FC Barcelona president Sandro Rosell thinks that goalkeeper Victor Valdés will reverse his decision in the summer and stay at the club. Rosell was giving an interview with El Mundo Deportivo and says that he is confident that Tito Vilanova can keep Valdes at the Catalan club. The president also acknowledged that he still doesn’t know the reasons for the keeper wanting out of the club.
Valdés surprised that Casillas was left on bench
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Barca goalkeeper Victor Valdes stated that he was surprised that Iker Casillas was left on the bench. The Real Madrid stopper was sidelined on Sunday with new boss Ancelotti fielding number 2 keeper Diego López.
