Last night’s game against Spain and Uruguay ended in a 3-1 win for La Roja and served as a prelude for the upcoming Confederations Cup where both teams will be present. Spain used a total of 9 players from FC Barcelona to do away with a tough tackling Uruguay who left their studs on more than one Spanish player. Goals came from Barca’s Pedro and Cesc Fabregás.

Argentine astro Leo Messi spoke out for the first time today about the knee injury he picked up last night against Benfica in the Champions League. He said that while he was on the stretcher he was thinking the worst. Fortunately for both Messi and his club the injury wasn’t as serious as expected and could play against Betis on Sunday.
