Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado is apparently in both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid’s crosshairs and according to Catalan daily Sport, Barça are awaiting news from TAS to see if they can get their transfer ban reduced.
Cuadrado was tipped to join the catalan giants in the summer but now Real Madrid have shown an interest in the Fiorentina defender and while Barcelona await the outcome of their appeal, they have created a shortlist of “must have” players for next summer namely: Bayer Leverkusen’s Lars Bender, Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado and Atlético Madrid’s Koke. Whether the Catalan team get any of them remains to be seen but this has made Real Madrid prick up their ears in interest.
Real Madrid have apparently been in touch with Cuadrado and his agents as Barça cannot do anything at the moment due to the ban but the Colombian has insisted that he will wait to hear what the outcome is over Barcelona’s appeal and allow other clubs to show interest.
Barça’s deal with Juan Cuadrado fell to pieces last summer when the Catalan club failed to sell Dani Alves despite Cuadrado agreeing to a five year deal at the Nou Camp. Therefore with Dani Alves out of contract next year, the club look set to sell Montoya to fund the hefty €40 million price tag Fiorentina has put on one of their prized assets.
With certain rivalry from both City and United from the Premier League, both Real and Barça have their work cut out to entice Cuadrado to La Liga.
barca should try and sign this player…he is very talented
We need strong Defender like Matts Hemels and defensive midfielder like sami kehdira and also Juan cuadrado so thatBarcelona can balance well.
How can I talk to the manager of Barça to tell them too buy these talented players because Barça is lacking defence, and now I think the midfield too is becoming 84% we really have to try and bring these players in so that our games can be stronger.
..and Barça should sell montoya/pique – they aren’t good at all, Matheiu is too old to run, we realy need a young strong players with smart legs.
