More Barcelona News as the media is saying today that Brendan Rodgers is lining up Barça man Alex Song as a possible replacement for Lucas Leiva.
Song has slipped down the pecking order at Barcelona under new manager Luis Enrique and the midfielder is said to favour a return to the English Premier League. It is said Liverpool are interested in the ex Arsenal midfielder and have him in their sights.
Barcelona have not got much time to thrash out any deals as the transfer deadline looms and that could spark a loan deal, something that the Anfield club could be very interested in if the Catalans insist on the hefty £10M price tag for the 26 year-old.
Liverpool are said to be keen on selling Brazilian Lucas Leiva after falling out of favour and Italian Serie A team Napoli are said to be keen on snapping him up.
Strangely enough, it was ex Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez who brought Leiva to Anfield and is said to want him at his current club, Napoli.
And Barcastuff on Twitter reports:
Marseille, Tottenham, AC Milan and Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs interested in Barcelona midfielder Alex Song (26). [l’esportiu]

Alex Song would be a great addition to any team as he is a powerful midfielder who doesn’t get shaken off the ball easily. Both Liverpool and the Gunners could use the player to great effect and Barcelona know it.
He will be a great addition to our midfield to free Stev G to his original offencive midfield role.We also need to bring in a good backup goal keeper to
compete Mignolet.Asmir Begovic or Valdes.
