Claudio Bravo believes he’ll fit in well with Barcelona’s system

claudio bravo signs for barcelona

Barcelona’s new stopper, Claudio Bravo believes he will fit in well with the Catalan giants’ system and style of play.

The Chilean international was presented as a Barcelona player on Monday and was given the number 13 shirt. Bravo spoke about his new role at the Nou Camp in a press conference:

Claudio Bravo showed that he was both happy and excited about his new role:

“I would like to thank FC Barcelona for putting their trust in me and my future abilities. I am proud to be here and be a part of this great project and this great club. I feel that it was time to put an end to an era at Real Sociedad, a club where I enjoyed a lot more success than I had hoped. Now I have to defend these colours to the best of my abilities. A thousand things are going through my head right now; you always hope that these types of things will happen to you and that you get this far.”

He also spoke about fellow compatriot and teammate Alexis Sánchez: “Alexis has told me many things about Barça, everything marvellous, and he said that I had to enjoy the moment and do my best. During the short time I have been here I have felt a lot of affection, and I have been made to feel at home.”

31 year old Bravo spoke about the competition he faces between the posts: “The three of us start out at square one, with the same advantages as each other. We’re all in the same boat, doing our best so that the team performs as well as possible. I’m going to do my very best, as I reckon everyone will.”

The ex Real Sociedad stopper is a real asset to the club and he’ll surely do well between the sticks at the Nou Camp. We wish him all the best in his new assignment.
