Alexis is wanted by Liverpool and Manchester United according to reports
With FC Barcelona planning a summer sale for some of its most talented stars including Cesc Fabregàs, Chilean Alexis Sánchez looks to be hot on both Liverpool’s and Manchester United’s summer radars.
While there is some interest in Italy for Alexis and a possible swap deal for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, the two top Premier League clubs are looking at Alexis with much interest.
Reports from the Daily Star say that firm bids have been made by the Premier League pair according to reports in Sanchez’s homeland Chile.
It is remarkable that Barcelona want to part ways with Sánchez as he had such a good season. He ended the campaign with 21 goals and 17 assists but now finds himself as part of the Blaugrana “clearout” campaign with Cesc Fabregàs. Who knows, these two quality players may both end up in the Premier League!
Alexis currently earns around £90,000-a-week at Barça so that shouldn’t be a problem for either club should he make the trip across the English Channel. The Chilean international, who will be on duty for his country at the World cup joined the Catalans in 2011 from Serie A side Udinese for £21.1m and has gone on to score 47 goals in 141 appearances.
Alexis is such a versatile player and is capable of playing as an out and out striker, a winger as well as a secondary striker. without a doubt, Sánchez will largely improve the Red Devils’ attack. The only problem we see at Barcelona FC Blog is United’s lack of European football next year and that might be the key for Sánchez playing at Old Trafford or not.
