Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are gearing up for the ‘Clásico’ next Sunday

Barcelona are gearing up for what looks like being one of the most memorable, if not important ‘Clásicos’ in recent times.

Things have turned around for Real Madrid and Ancelotti has the team ‘cooking on gas’ as it were.Real Madrid came away from the first ‘Clásico’ of the season defeated and trailing Barça by six points. If that wasn’t enough, Atlético Madrid was also in the mix and Real was 5 points behind them, too. The whites had no direction and were flying around like some tumbleweed you see in the Westerns with no apparent direction or impetus.

That has all changed now and Barça are on the other side of the fence. Carlo Ancelotti’s team are now the Spanish league leaders and have gone a massive 30 games undefeated in all competitions.
They have found their fifth gear at last and are cruising past everyone in the BBVA League.

Since the last ‘Clásico’ match there have been 18 matches and Real Madrid have gleaned a whopping 48 points from them. That’s 10 more than the Catalans and 8 more than Diego Simeone’s Atlético de Madrid.

Ancelotti has provided Real Madrid with some new gps coordinates and the team is following them to the letter. In attack, Real Madrid are a force to be reckoned with and in defence, a stone wall. The ‘Whites’ have scored 84 goals and conceded only 19 in their last 30 outings.

Ancelott’s team’s reaction to that last defeat at the Camp Nou has in no doubt, delighted their fans, who see next Sunday’s ‘Clásico’ as the perfect opportunity to put more points between the two great clubs and severely dent the Catalans hope of retaining their La liga crown.
