Abidal plays in 5-0 whitewash of Mallorca

Barca defender Eric Abidal finally got to play for the Catalan club again as he substituted Gerard Piqué in the 24th minute of the second half. It was an exciting match at the Nou Camp where Barca gave Mallorca a 5 nil hiding. Alexis found his mojo and scored two great goals but the night belonged to Cesc Fabregás who netted a hat-trick. Messi could be fit to face Paris Saint-Germain

Some good news for Barcelona fans is that Argentine leo Messi’s injury is not as serious as first thought. The little striker grabbed a stunning first-half opener before he was subbed off with a hamstring problem at the break. Now the Catalan club insist he could recover in time for the Nou Camp clash next Wednesday against Paris Saint-Germain.

Barca draws against PSG but collects two valuable away goals

Barcelona drew last night in Paris against Paris Saint-Germain but collected two valuable away goals on the way. Messi rocked the French outfit just before half time to make it one nil and set the tone for the second half of play. Barca won a penalty after the keeper brought down Alexis and Ibra and Matuidi scored for PSG. Both Messi and Mascherano were injured in the clash, too.

Arsene Wenger, coach of North London club Arsenal has stated on his blog that Barcelona are not invincible. He said that if teams like Celtic Glasgow and A.C Milan can beat Barcelona then why not PSG? Wenger was speaking ahead of tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash in Paris where Barca take on the leaders of the French League Paris Saint-Germain.
