Leo Messi now training fully with rest of squad

Leo Messi has been on the training ground this morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and has participated with the rest of his teammates in the training session that was scheduled for today.

This is a very good sign looking ahead to Messi’s participation in the first leg of the semifinals of the Champions League against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Despite the good news and Messi’s clear improvement, the forecast is that he will not play against Levante tomorrow in order to minimize the risks of a possible relapse that could deprive the Argentine of playing at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Tuesday.

Today, according to Barca’s technical staff, the player is at 75% of his capacity and in the next few days he will finish his training regime that is helping him to be at 110% for the crunch match against Jupp Heynckes team.

Having said that, Jordi Roura has not ruled out entirely omitting Leo Messi from the game against Levante tomorrow, just three days before the match in Munich.

Messi participated in a full training session with the rest of the squad yesterday too and Jordi Roura said: “There’s just one more training session to go and we’ll do that in the morning. I see it as a bit of a tight call but you know how Messi is.”
