Cesc Fabregás to finish his career at Arsenal?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that ex Gunner Cesc Fabregás will return to the North London club to finish his football career at the Gunners where he was captain.

Cesc headed back to the boyhood club of his dreams in 2011 after a spell of eight years at Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has noted that the 25 year old midfielder, who was a great influence on his team, could end up playing for the North Londoners again but not until 3 or 4 years from now.

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger had this to say:

“Cesc is a world-class player. I’m not convinced he won’t come back here one day. He’s an Arsenal man.

“He loves Arsenal. He watches every Arsenal game.

“Barcelona was his home town where he grew up and you have to accept this — especially as Barcelona are the best team in the world.

“In the next two or three years it certainly will not happen — but maybe later.”

This is quite true what Wenger has said believe it or not. Cesc was a true Arsenal man and he probably would still be leading the Gunners if it weren’t for the chance of earning trophies and recognition with one of the best Barcelona sides the world has ever seen.

Even teammate Alex Song, who also came from Arsenal, had to admit that if the Barca train passed by, one would be silly not to climb aboard it. That’s exactly what Cesc Fabregás had to deal with. A footballer’s playing career is relatively short and they have to make the most of it.

And if making the most of it means that Barcelona might knock on your door one day, then one would be rather foolish to turn down an offer to play in the best team in the world.

Wenger may have a point, even Victor Valdés is unsure that he will finish his career at Barca, so Cesc may end up back in London playing for a team that really loves him.
