Gerard Pique: our goal is to win titles, not break records

According to Barca defender Gerard Piqué, “the great start to the season gives us confidence but nothing has been decided yet”. “The goal is to win titles and not break records.”

Gerard Pique has said that his favorite for the FIFA Ballon d’Or award has to be teammate Leo Messi and for the manager, Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.

“To score fifty league goals in a season is outrageous. If you ask me, I will say that Leo Messi is the favorite now,” said the Barca fullback.

Gerard Pique didn’t make any distinctions for the Best Coach of the Year, an award that, from his point of view, should be granted to Spanish coach Vicente Del Bosque, since “both Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho have already won it”.

Talking about Andrés Iniesta, he said that “he could win the Ballon d’Or for winning the Euro Championships and that Cristiano Ronaldo had a very great season”. But the Barca defender reiterated that “Leo Messi is the one that has stolen his heart”.
