The catalan giants have stepped up their efforts to grab Alex Song from the Gunners.
Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has been insisting that he has no intention of selling the Cameroon midfielder but we’ve heard otherwise!
Apparently Barcelona’s vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu was in London yesterday to open talks with the North londoners over a possible £12million deal.
The Cameroon midfielder would be an asset to Barca and would fit in perfectly with Tito’s plans for the coming season. Now that captain Puyol is back, Villa and Fontás, too all that is needed to reinforce the midfield is Alex Song.
I’m quite surprised other big clubs have not been mentioned as Alex Song would be quite the catch. With Robin Van Persie moving up north of England to Manchester United to make a dynamic duo with Wayne Rooney, Song will be the next one out of the Gunner’s door if Barca land him and at £12million I think he ¡s going for a Song 🙂
