Barca’s interest in Gareth Bale turned down

North London club Tottenham Hotspur insist they will not be bullied by Catalan giants Barcelona over their interest in Welsh star Gareth Bale.
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has stated that they would love to sign Bale, 22, for a £35million fee.

But Tottenham will refuse to listen to any offers for their star player — as they stick to their guns to keep Luka Modric from a chelsea move.

Assistant boss Joe Jordan said: “That was the stance with Luka. He’s still here.”

Tonight’s game starts at 20:00 and Barca face Zaragoza. Meanwhile Real Madrid travel to Mestalla to try and repeat their 2-6 thrashing of Valencia. However, Valencia star Roberto Soldado vows to make amends for the trouncing his side received.
