Messi, Iniesta and Puyol to declare in a lawsuit against Laporta

The judge who is in charge of the case between player representative Bayram Tutumlu and former president Joan Laporta and his law firm ‘Arbós Laporta & Associates, SLP for alleged breach of contract on the business conducted in Uzbekistan has brought forward the trial to 10th October.

The hearing will be public and at the request of Bayram Tutumlu’s attorney, Jose Oriola, Barcelona players Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Carles Puyol, Barça president Sandro Rosell, Inter striker Samuel Eto’o and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas will be cited as witnesses.

Bayram Tutumlu sued Laporta and his law firm for breach of contract on the business conducted by Laporta, for representing the club and on a private level, with FC Bundyorkor of Uzbekistan in 2008.

Through the media, the claimant found out that Laporta closed several agreements with the Uzbekistan club and Zeromax GmbH, represented by Miraldil Djalalov, for which he would have received 3 million euros and consequently deposit the money in Laporta & Arbós accounts in June 2008. Bayram Tutumlu is claiming that his 10 percent fee agreed as a mediator of the operation has not been paid,
