Final of La Copa del Rey

Yes, it’s final time – the final of La Copa del Rey to be exact. Barcelona FC v Real Madrid at La Mestalla Stadium, home to Valencia CF. Tonight’s match kicks off at 21:30 and promises so much more than what we witnessed the other day at the Bernabéu. it seemed that both teams were holding their cards close to their chests and didn’t want to show all they had.

It’s been 18 years since Real Madrid has won La Copa del Rey and it promises to be a thrilling final. Around 100 coaches will be leaving the Camp Nou stadium today for Valencia and Madrid fans are already preparing for the celebrations in Valencia which include believe it or not, a mini version of La Cibeles – the place where the Real Madrid fans go to celebrate their team’s victories. I don’t know if the Barça fans have set up a mini version of La Fuente de Canaletas, we’ll have to see!

So, get the beers in and prepare for a scorcher of a game tonight. You can watch it here too – Copa del Rey Final
