David Villa Misses the Valencia Team Atmosphere

David Villa for the first time will face his former team next week wearing a Barcelona FC shirt. Villa said on Barcelona FC’s TV channel – “that although Barca has everything, he misses a real lot the daily life of the Valencian team and Joaquin as roommates”.
The forward points out that the players used to eat breakfast together in the sports city of Paterna and afterwards joked around with the kit-man, Bernardo España – ‘Españeta’.

Villa said that Saturday’s game on October 16th at the Camp Nou will be very special for him as he remembered that in the five seasons he played for Valencia, he was very happy and this game will bring back very good memories and the chance to see many friends.

David Villa took his first steps as a player with Sporting Gijon and Real Zaragoza, but the club that has given him everything has been Valencia. “I’ll try to score because I am a professional but now I play for Barcelona and I love and respect the people who have made the club what it is today and will therefore not celebrate if I do”, he announced.

Villa also said that those of the Valencia team who visit the stadium of Barcelona on match day he will receive them with open arms and at the end of the game, he’ll wish them all the best for the remainder of the season. “I always have good memories and love everything about Valencia and the Valencian way of life”, Valencia is a great team” he added.

Talking about the start of the season and his ex team being current leaders, David Villa said that “the team is very good,” explaining that “it hasn’t suffered because four or five players have left – Valencia is a big team which has signed some good players. ”
