Barca training in Bangkok before game against Thailand

FC Barcelona are now training in Asia as part of their pre-season. Tata Martino’s team finished Monday’s training session in the Thai capital, Bangkok, at the premises of the Thai Army Sports Stadium, which is a multi-purpose stadium in the Din Daeng district of north Bangkok and the home of Army United F.C.

The 24 players, who have travelled to Thailand, carried out an intensive training session at the military installations of the Thai Army Stadium yesterday. The whole of the Barcelona team, after a 10 hours flight, based the training sessions on physical workouts and ball exercises. The humidity and heat were the main causes of concern for the Catalan giants.

Cristian Tello, who missed the Joan Gamper Trophy against Brazilian club Santos through a hamstring injury, has been able to do part of the training with his fellow teammates.

Barcelona will follow up yesterday’s session with a double session today. This morning, they’ll be training behind closed doors and in the afternoon, it will be a public session at the Rajamangala National Stadium, which will host FC Barcelona’s match against Thailand.

Meanwhile, Brazilian star Neymar spoke in Bangkok of his anemia problem, with which he has lost around 7Kg in weight: “I’m better. the doctors are treating me but I feel good. I feel well enough to train,” he said at the launch of his new Nike boots.

The Brazilian is waiting impatiently for the start of the season and a chance to fight for all the titles with his new club: “I have the highest expectations. I want to do well and adapt quickly. I hope it’s a special season and we win some titles.”
