Paris Saint-Germain threaten to take Leo Messi

One piece of news that caught my eye today was the fact that Paris Saint-Germain owner Sheik Nasser Al-Khelaifi has threatened to take Leo Messi if Barca manages to finally get Thiago Silva.

The President of French club Paris Saint-Germain, Sheikh Nasser Al-Khelaifi, seems annoyed with the constant rumours of the possible departure of Brazilian defender Thiago Silva to the Catalan giants.

He has become so annoyed that, in a statement to the French site ActuSports.fr, he literally said that “if FC Barcelona pays Thiago Silva’s buyout clause then I will pay Messi’s”.

The sheikh is determined not to let go the Paris Saint-Germain central defender despite the fact that the signing of the Roma defender Marquinhos by the French champions seems imminent.

Al-Khelaifi definitively wants to shelve this issue when he declared recently that Thiago Silva was going to stay in Paris.

Those are tough talking words from the Sheik and Barcelona had better take note if they don’t want any trouble or the prospect of losing their star player, for that matter. FC Barcelona are constantly being accused of under-hand tactics to lure players away and it finally looks like the Sheik has had enough.

One of the teams that got annoyed at Barca’s tactics was North London club Arsenal FC when the Catalan club apparently told Cesc Fabregás to force his exit from the Gunners. The Blaugrana team wanted Cesc to go on strike to force a cut price deal for the midfielder. Barca finally got their man and Arsenal’s fans were none too pleased with the tactics.

My name's Aaron and I'm a great Barça fan. I like to tell it like it is and if there is something I don't like about the club or something that needs addressing, you'll know!
