Let the Games Begin

That’s right, let the games begin! I’m talking about the “clásicos” between Real Madrid and Barcelona FC. With both teams in the semi final of the Champions League, La Liga and La Copa del Rey this is one amazing year for the classic game between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

To be exact, the teams will meet 4 times in 18 days and that is something that’s never happened in the history of these two great clubs. Barcelona will be hoping on Saturday to extend their 8 point lead over Real Madrid and Mourinho’s team will be looking to settle a score after their 0-5 fracas at the Camp Nou when Pique held a hand aloft showing five fingers which means five goals or “una manita” in Spanish.

After beating Tottenham at White Hart Lane, Real Madrid are up for it without a shadow of a doubt and one cannot see this Madrid side losing by such a score again, or will they? Maybe this great Barcelona team caught Mo unaware last time and he’s not the type of manager that gets caught out twice.

Calendar of Clásicos
The first one kicks off this Saturday 16th April at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium at 22:00. Just four days after on 20th April at the Mestalla stadium in Valencia we have the final of La copa del Rey. The next one takes place on April 27th for the first leg of the semi final of the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabéu with the return leg scheduled for May 3rd at the Camp Nou.

If that’s not enough there’s always the Supercopa in August which is like the Premier League’s Charity Shield where the winner of the league plays the winner of La Copa del Rey or the runner up in the league in case one of them does the “double”.

About Aaron

My name's Aaron and I'm a great Barça fan. I like to tell it like it is and if there is something I don't like about the club or something that needs addressing, you'll know!
