Barcelona’s central defender Gerard Piqué is so confident in his team at the moment that he reckons they can win all 3 trophies this year. Piqué thinks that Barca is capable of walking off and closing the season with La Copa del Rey, La Liga and the Champions League. Piqué is in good form at the moment and says that morale is high in the dressing room.
Raphael Varane keeps Real Madrid’s hopes alive
After a frantic first half with no goals but on the edge of your seat action, it was left up to Cesc Fabregás and young Frenchman Raphael Varane to draw the match in the second half to set up a thrilling second leg semi final at the Nou Camp. Real Madrid keeper Diego López played well and kept the Whites in the match and Varane was outstanding at the back, saving Madrid from red faces on more than one occasion.
Piqué, Iniesta, Xavi and Pedro rested for La Copa del Rey
Barca first team players Gerard Piqué, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Pedro Rodriguez have been left out of the squad to face Cordoba in the second leg of their Copa del Rey clash at the Nou Camp. Sergi Roberto from the reserves is included in the squad along with Brazilian Adriano and winger Isaac Cuenca.
