Cheeky Luis Suárez nutmegged David Luiz twice to help Barcelona dominate the match in Paris on Wednesday night.
The Uruguayan scored twice in the match with Neymar getting in on the act as well to ensure a Barça victory that certainly puts everything in the Catalan giants’ favour for the return leg at the Nou Camp.
And it was Neymar who got the Catalans off to a good start in Paris with a goal in the 18th minute. Suárez then followed up in the second half in the 67th minute and 79th minute to make it 3 goals to nil until Frenchman Jeremy Matthieu put the ball into his own net in the 81st minute to provide nothing more than a consolation goal for PSG.
PSG were without Veratti, Ibrahimovic and Thiago Motta and it showed. It wasn’t Barça’s best game of the season but the Catalans took all the merit in this first leg between the two clubs.
Luis Suarez said after the match about his nutmegs: ‘A striker is always looking for goals and the two moves came off for me. ‘I had to nutmeg Luiz twice because there was nothing else I could do.’
Whether that’s true or not, the crowd loved it as Suárez made Luiz look quite amateur. Maybe Chelsea are laughing all the way to the bank, too 😉
