There has been a few rumours flying around the English Premier League just lately and they point to United’s keeper David De Gea moving to Real Madrid. The ex Atlético Madrid keeper has enjoyed good success at United but rumours are buzzing that he may return to his native Spain. David De Gea is going out with pop star Edurne and it is well known that she doesn’t like Manchester and that could be one of the reasons for the stopper’s return to Spain.

And Manchester United are reportedly keen on bringing in Barcelona’s Marc Andre ter Stegen as a replacement. The Express highlighted the 22 year old’s lack of playing time under new manager Luis Enrique and that could be the spark that lights the blue touch paper for a release in the event De Gea affirms that he’d like to go to Real Madrid.

Claudio Bravo has been the main man in goal for the Catalans after the young German was benched due to an injury picked up early on in the season. Keen to play, ter Stegen would only switch to United if De Gea goes to Real Madrid to replace legend Iker Casillas.

The 22 year old German joined Barça from Borussia Monchengladbach for a reported €12 million this past summer and has a release clause of €80M according to Inside Spanish Football.

The 6 feet 2 inch German is exactly the kind of keeper United go after and if the rumours are correct will land the job at United if De Gea moves back to Spain.
