Barcelona need to focus ahead of tomorrow evening’s second leg of their Copa del Rey Clasico match against Real Madrid.
The scores are all square with the slight advantage going to Barcelona. That of course doesn’t mean much when you are talking about Cup games as anything can happen.
Saturday’s match against Sevilla wasn’t a good match and it was David Villa who found the key to unlock the Andalusian side’s defence. Messi made it 2-1 on 60 minutes but Barca suffered.
Tomorrow night Barca need to focus on the job in hand. They are still on for the triple, just, and are more than capable of walking off with La Liga, the Champions League Cup and La Copa del Rey.
There should be no defensive errors tomorrow against Real Madrid as the ‘merengues’ will be more than ready for this clash as they have given up the ghost of a league title comeback and are pushing for Champions League and Copa del Rey glory in what looks like Jose Mourinho’s last season on the White’s bench.
Barca need to show more of David Villa as he has a killer instinct in front of goal. Dani Alves’ great cross was dealt clinically by Villa and you can’t ask for better than that, can you?
The defence needs to sort themselves out for tomorrow night’s clash otherwise I can see a few goals on the cards. Jordi Roura needs to get his tactics 100% correct for the clasico as there will be no prisoners taken.
This is a chance for Barca to put the ghosts of the San Siro and Sevilla behind them and prove to everyone that this years Barca is on par with the Barca of Guardiola. If Barca is hungry, they will win this convincingly as they will also win the second leg clash against A.C Milan.
