That’s right, straight from Abidal’s mouth! The Barca defender hopes to play again before December.
FC Barcelona defender Eric Abidal, who underwent a liver transplant in April, said he intends to play at the Nou Camp by December, he said after the friendly match against French outfit Paris Saint Germain.
“I have the goal of returning to play and I hope to play at the Camp Nou before December. Anyway, if I play later, it does not matter,” said the French player to TV3 after the friendly in which his team managed to beat the French side from on penalties 4-1 after drawing the match 2-2.
“That’s the goal, if it happens to be later, there’s no problem, the goal is to return, and it’s important to me,” said Abidal, who was in charge of getting the game under way.
The French footballer said he is following “steps marked by doctors” and said he has to take it “easy”, since the operation was “very difficult”.
