Marquinhos deal sweetened by Dani Alves move?

Marcos Aoás Corrêa who is better known as Marquinhos could be heading to the Camp Nou if BeIN Sports rumours are found to be true. BeIN Sports is a global network of sports channels jointly owned and operated by Qatari Sports Investments (an affiliate of Al Jazeera Media Networks) to which Paris Saint Germain has a good rapport.They are suggesting that Barça are closing in on a deal for Marquinhos, the French club’s centre-back.

Marquinhos was on Barcelona’s radar last year but the club missed out on him. However, he could be on his way to the Catalan giants with fellow Brazilian Dani Alves heading in the opposite direction as part of a sweetener. It’s no mystery that Barça is actively looking to offload the 31 year old full-back, who has also been in Paris Saint Germain’s crosshairs for some time.

PSG spent a hefty €35 million on Marquinhos who came from Roma and are not happy about losing any money on him. However, the French outfit are believed to be open to the possibility of letting him go for a large chunk of change plus fellow Brazilian Dani Alves.

Meanwhile the Daily Mail says that Mundo Deportivo report that high level negotiations are going on as the respective presidents Josep Maria Bartomeu and Nassir Al-Khelaifi try to thrash out a deal.

The Brazilian centre-back was quoted in Le Parisien as saying: ‘If Barca are so interested in me, this is something that makes me very satisfied.

‘It’s flattering as Barcelona are a club that have won all competitions in the world. But that aside, I can’t say anything else about Barca.’
