French sports newspaper L’Equipe reports that Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain wants to sign two players this summer. One of them is Bosnia international Miralem Pjanic and the other happens to be none other than Barcelona defender Dani Alves.
Discussions have been ongoing for Serie A player Miralem Pjanic and Paris Saint Germain are now also turning their attention towards Barça’s Dani Alves. The French outfit are said to be offering Argentine frontman Javier Pastore as part of the deal.
Pastore, an ex Palermo player, has featured 25 times this season in Ligue 1 which included coming on as a substitute some 10 times. The Argentine has struggled to make the starting 11 this season.
Javier Pastore is valued at around £15m and Barcelona FC Blog understands that both clubs would be willing to make a straight swap if both players are willing to move.
Brazilian Dani Alves, who was subject to racial abuse last Sunday at El Madrigal stadium in a league match against Villareal, has had a glittering career with Barcelona but calls for him to be sold have gathered pace recently as the Brazilain will be 31 in May. While Alves may not have the spark he had under Guardiola, he is still a valuable player and FC Barcelona would have to think long and hard at any plans to sell him in our opinion.
