Rumours suggest that Victor Valdes may go to Man City

According to the Daily Star, Manchester City are in pole position to sign Barça stopper Victor Valdes, who will leave the Catalan giants in the summer. Valdés was tipped to go to Monaco, but has apparently failed to agree a deal with the club.

Citizens coach Manuel Pellegrini also has his eye on a promising talent in the shape of 18 year old Ángel Correa from Argentine outfit San Lorenzo. Pundits liken to the youngster to City’s Sergio Aguero and the Mirror suggests that City would face tough competition from Catalan giants Barça and North London club Arsenal FC.

Meanwhile, Manchester United manager David Moyes looks set to offload Japanese star Shinji Kagawa who has failed to impress him this season. The playmaker could well be on his way to Turkish side Besiktas in the summer says the Manchester Evening News.

Uk newspaper The Mirror also suggests that David Moyes wants to bring in more youth, and could therefore place a bid for Southampton’s 19 year-old midfielder Harrison Reed, who has played four games so far for the Saints.

Lastly, David Beckham is on the lookout for stars for his new football team. The ex Manchester United and England star has bought a franchise in Miami and would relish the thought of signing Barcelona’s Xavi says The Daily Mail.
