Arsenal is not the only club wanting Barcelona striker David Villa as there are a host of other clubs wanting the Spaniard to sign a deal before the January transfer window closes.
According to The Sun newspaper, North London club Arsenal are preparing to offer Barcelona 12Million Euros for David Villa.
The tabloid newspaper is also insisting that Barca will not let the striker go but says that Arsene Wenger is determined to bring David Villa to the Gunners at all costs where Santi Cazorla is enjoying a great first season.
The Sun also say that Villa could force his way out of the Catalan club, too.
Arsenal is not the first team to be linked to David Villa this January transfer window and Tito Vilanova doesn’t seem to be counting on him too much lately making the big clubs in Europe to set their sights on him.
One can understand the plight of Villa and also the concerns of Vilanova. Villa obviously wants to play regular football with the first team and Tito is in a quandary as he is able to count on other members of his fantastic squad.
Vilanova doesn’t want to let him go as it would mean big trouble if one of the regular first team members got injured. That obviously doesn’t wash with David Villa as he would rather be playing in all matches and not just counted on for the least important games where Barca are expected to win.
We shall see what the outcome of this long and drawn out affair is very shortly I fear and it looks like Villa may be heading for the Premier League to team up with Cazorla.
