Xavi Hernandez is set to save himself and not play against Celta Vigo on Saturday in Barca’s La Liga game. The Barcelona midfielder played the full 90 minutes of the World Cup qualifier against France, in which Spain won by a goal to nil, suffered some discomfort in his hamstring – a problem that has been dragging on for some time.
Xavi Hernández will not be playing for La Roja on Friday 22nd March against Finland in the Spanish city of Gijón. Xavi was subjected to various medical tests and it has been decided to leave him out of the Finland game thinking ahead instead of the clash against France next week where he would be more useful. Xavi wasn’t on the pitch last weekend for the Rayo Vallecano clash where Barca won by 3 goals to 1.
