Barcelona number 2 keeper José Manuel Pinto had to leave yesterday’s training session after he picked up an injury due to the poor state of the pitch. It’s the same pitch that the Catalan club will be using today in their final match as part of their Asia Tour pre-season and the club are asking for guarantees otherwise they won’t play. More on Pinto’s injury
Jose Manuel Pinto will be called into action against his old club Celta Vigo today at the Estadio Municipal de Balaídos. With regular keeper Victor Valdes banned for four games due to the controversy with the referee at the Santiago Bernabeu, the doors have been opened for the keeper from Cádiz which will spark many memories as Pinto spent 10 years of his career at Celta Vigo.
