Celta humble Barça and La Liga without the Catalans

Celta Vigo humbled Barça last night at Balaídos by beating the Catalan giants by 4 goals to 1. There wasn’t much Messi and co could do as Celta ran amok and gave Barcelona a lesson in humility. Piqué’s return didn’t go to plan either as the defender committed and awful error which Celta pounced on to make it 2-0 before half time.

Barcelona arrives in Rome for Wednesday’s match

FC Barcelona have arrived in Rome for tomorrow night’s curtain raiser against Italian serie A giants Roma in the first leg of their group stage clash. Luis Enrique has taken 20 players with him including Barça B duo Gerard Gumbau and José Suárez. Messi’s parents along with his brothers have also made the trip.

FC Barcelona set to face Elche three times in January

FC Barcelona are to come face to face with Elche no less than three times this month. The Catalans meet the team from Andalusia twice in La Copa del Rey and once in the Spanish League.
