Iniesta, Messi and Ronaldo have been chosen as candidates for the UEFA best player of the year award with Xavi just missing the cut coming in at number 5 on the short list. The award will be announced in Monaco as part of the draw for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Leo Messi wants the Balon D’Or to stay with Barca

Argentine maestro has stated that he would love to see the next Balon D’Or player come from Barca’s dressing room and would like to see either Xavi or Iniesta win it.
