Piqué, Iniesta, Xavi and Pedro rested for La Copa del Rey

Barca first team players Gerard Piqué, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Pedro Rodriguez have been left out of the squad to face Cordoba in the second leg of their Copa del Rey clash at the Nou Camp. Sergi Roberto from the reserves is included in the squad along with Brazilian Adriano and winger Isaac Cuenca.

Great news for Tito Vilanova and all Barca fans is that Adriano, Song and Cesc have been given the all-clear by the medical staff and could play in the Barca vs Espanyol derby crunch at the Nou Camp on Sunday. Barca’s Pinto renews contract until June 2014

Barca’s charismatic number two goalkeeper has just renewed his contract that’ll keep him at the Catalan club until June 2014. 37 year old Jose Manuel Pinto who was born in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, Andalusia, came to Barcelona on loan from Celta in the 2007/8 season and has played 52 games for the club.
