Barça are ready to take on PSG

The Catalan giants are ready to receive French outfit Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. After losing to Real Madrid and then Celta Vigo in the Spanish League, Barça looked like they were on the start of a downwards spiral but the team have managed to pull themselves out of that mini crisis and have now won seven games on the trot. With Messi fired up after scoring another hat trick on Sunday against Espanyol in the local derby, it looks like Luis Enrique’s Barça are poised to take on PSG in the Champions League.

We remember that PSG beat Barça by 3 goals to 2 in Paris in a previous match in Group F of the Champions League, but the Catalans are full of vigour for next Wednesday’s clash. Those seven consecutive wins, four in the league, two in Europe and one in the cup, have changed everything for the club and are now brimming with confidence.

“We are fully aware of how important the PSG match is, and with the voice of the Camp Nou behind us, we’re going to fight”, said Ivan Rakitic.

The manager also pointed out that the game is taking place when Barcelona’s confidence is at an all time high. “I don’t know if we are going into the game in the best possible condition, but we are looking good all the same. PSG are tricky opponents, but it will be a great match, a marvellous one. We have a great chance to knock over the leaders of our Champions League group”, said Luis Enrique.

One of the biggest perils for Barça in the PSG team is ex-Blaugrana Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who on Saturday scored two goals against Nantes. But with Barça’s confidence so high, this will surely be a turnaround for the Catalans.
