15 year old Martin Odegaard is the player everyone is talking about at the moment with a host of top european clubs ready to put pen to paper and sign him. FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are also in the hunt for his signature as the attacking midfielder is fast becoming one of europe’s hottest new talents.

The young Odegaard has already impressed his club Stromsgodset and has even made a debut with the Norway national side in a friendly against the United Arab Emirates this summer.

The youngster is also set to be the youngest player ever to play in a European qualifying match as he has been picked for Norway to face Bulgaria. The player’s contract with Stromsgodset expires in December 2015 and top European clubs have been put on red alert for the talented midfielder. Two of the clubs that have shown a strong interest in La Liga have been FC Barcelona and Real Madrid with the boy’s father stating that around 30 clubs have shown an interest in signing him.

Martin Odegaard recently quashed rumours of him having accepted an invitation from Barça to visit their famed ‘La Masia’ football academy. “It’s flattering, but there’s nothing with Barcelona,” he told Norwegian newspaper VG.

Top clubs keeping a watchful eye over this exciting new talent are Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain as well as Spain’s FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
