Stoke City is plotting another raid on Barcelona’s La Masia according to reports in Spain.
La Masia, Barcelona’s famed youth academy is on every club’s lips at the moment and the stock of their young players is set to go through the roof. Munir, who has greatly impressed so far this season has joined the big boys in the full Spain squad while teammate Sandro, who’s also having a great start to the season has taken his place in the U-21’s.
The latest news on Barcelona’s young guns is that Adama Traoré is on Stoke City’s wanted list according to reports from The Daily Mail. Apparently Stoke are plotting a loan deal for the 18 year old in the winter transfer window as the Catalan giants refused to entertain any offers for the youngster in the summer transfer window that has just been closed.
However, Stoke aren’t the only ones interested in this new prospect and Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are both said to be keeping an eye on the 18 year-old.
Stoke’s manager just happens to be Mark Hughes, who spent two years at the Catalan club with 28 appearances and 4 goals. Therefore, Hughes is no stranger to the club and has used this to his advantage to bring in the likes of Bojan Krkic and Marc Muniesa.
The 18 year old Adama Traoré has impressed the Catalan club so far this summer by featuring in all of the club’s pre-season friendlies. In my opinion, loaning players like this can only be good for FC Barcelona because when they finally come back to the club, they are ready for action in La Liga. What do you think?
