Manchester United are to SACK David Moyes after less than a year in charge of the Premier League club which has experienced one of its most disastrous years ever.
The club will miss out on a top four place for the first time in 19 years and this weekend’s defeat to Everton has been too much to take by the board.
Finally, the Old Trafford hierarchy are now convinced that Moyes simply does not have what it takes to lead a club of their stature and ambition says the Mirror.
United are currently in seventh position in the league and Moyes has lost all respect in the dressing room. The club has put aside £200 Million to strengthen the squad and United’s top brass have not been convinced that Moyes is the one to spend the cash and are unwilling to trust him rebuilding the squad.
Veteran Ryan Giggs will be asked to stand in as caretaker manager should United dismiss Moyes before next Saturday’s game against Norwich City.
It really has been a bad year for United who won the league last year by 11 points. This season will mark their worst finish in the premier League since 1990.
Holland coach Louis van Gaal, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone, and Barcelona target Jurgen Klopp from Borussia Dortmund, are among the names touted to replace Moyes at United.
