FC Barcelona’s midfield general Xavi Hernández has quashed claims that he may be tempted to a move across the pond to MLS outfit New York Red Bulls. FC Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has resigned we can confirm. News this morning suggested that Rosell would resign today and we have news in from Spain that this has been the case. Messi plays 400th game and lets Tello steal the show

Leo Messi played his 400th game for the Azulgrana’s last night with a great performance that led to Cristian Tello’s hat-trick. Messi was unable to find the net so stood back and helped the young man out with some terrific goal assists to give the Catalans a 1-4 win over Levante in La Copa del Rey. More on Tello’s hat-trick
