Leo Messi will be out for two months

Tests carried out on Leo Messi at the premises of the AFA have confirmed that the Argentine has surpassed a critical stage of his injury. The player now begins the physical preparation stage, which is the third.

Dr. Ricard Pruna and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, travelled to Argentina on Tuesday to continue to monitor first-hand the progress and recovery of their number one player.

The striker suffered a muscle tear in the femoral biceps of his left leg on 10th November in Seville and since 29th November, the Argentine astro has been carrying out the second phase of his recovery at home in his native Argentina.

Andoni Zubizarreta plans to attend the Getafe-Barca match to be played on Sunday in Madrid (17:00 hours). This will be the last game of the Catalan giants in what remains of the year.

The Catalan club are not taking any chances with their main star this time and that’s why he’s undergoing a four stage process of recuperation – half in Barcelona and the other half in Argentina.

This makes sense as Messi has been troubled by his injury and for the last two times, the player has suffered a setback when he’s finally got back on the pitch again. Barca really want to make sure this time that the player gets the best treatment along with rest in order for his setbacks to be a thing of the past.

About Aaron

My name's Aaron and I'm a great Barça fan. I like to tell it like it is and if there is something I don't like about the club or something that needs addressing, you'll know!
